Auditions Set For Playmaker Comedy, “The Miser”

Director Suzanne Boles will hold auditions for the spring production of the classic comedy, “The Miser,”  Saturday, Jan 17, 1:00 p.m. at the Off Broadway Troupers building, 311 S. Grand in Grove, OK.

This classic farce will include physical movements of the Commedia dell’Arte (slapstick comedy), and cast members will be required to attend a workshop Feb 20-23 with Sara Romersberger of SMU. Readings of the script will begin late January, early February, and full rehearsals late February. Performances are April 17-19, 21, 24-26, 28, May 1, 2. at The Playmakers’ theatre on 3^rd Street in Grove.

The lead role of the Miser has been pre-cast, but there are still seven other male roles of various ages. Some of these roles have limited lines. Two young women are also needed (teens) and one middle-age woman. No preparation is required
