50th Anniversary and All-Class Reunion

Grove High School Class of ’59—Top of the Line!

The Grove High School class of ‘59 invites all Grove High graduates to the annual All-Class Reunion on September 6th to celebrate their 50th anniversary.  The program will begin at 1:00 in the auditorium at the Grove Middle School. It is a great opportunity to see friends from other classes as well as your own.

Entertainment will be provided by Patty Beth Anderson, who is “digging up the dirt” on the class of ’59, and Emma Lea Hudgens, great niece of one of the former classmates.  Larry Radcliff, from Foley Alabama, the class VP, will give the Welcome Speech. Refreshments will be served after the program in the mid-school cafeteria where all graduates can get reacquainted.

From teachers and artists to farmers, business owners and entrepreneurs, many in the graduating class of 1959 seem to enjoy small town living. Of the fifty-two members of the graduating class, seven are deceased. Of the 45 remaining, the whereabouts of one, Bob Westwood, is still unknown.

Forty-two percent of the remaining members of the class live in Grove, or have moved back after living and working elsewhere, including other countries. They have contributed to, and continue to do so, the health, prosperity and general quality of life of our community and surrounding areas.

Sixty-seven percent of the class live in Oklahoma; sixty-nine percent live within a 100 mi. radius of Grove.  For more information, contact Charles Hampton in Grove.
