The Shebang Gang would like to ask you to join us Feb 13, 8-11am. It's a pancake breakfast
benefit! One of our own, Doug
Morris, better known as Doug the limo guy at Big Shots, has been diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. He had surgery on the morning of New Year's Eve to
remove a tumor and lymph nodes. The doctors have told him he is stage
2, possibly stage 3. He is supposed to start Chemo soon, when he can
get through all the red tape.
We will host a breakfast buffet, $10.00 per person,
and a cash bar for bloody marys and screwdrivers. Thanks to generous
donations ALL proceeds will go to help Doug with getting back and
forth to Tulsa for his treatments and basic essentials.
If you can't join us for breakfast, but would like to
make a donation, call or come by the Shebang and one of gang will gladly
accept and add it to pot. Every little bit helps.

Just a note from the editor... not long ago ya'll gathered
at a pancake breakfast for me at the Shebang after the microburst
wiped out my yard. I can remember the incomparable Cari Williams
telling me to shut up and get out of the way. That's what we do when
someone needs help. Then she and Joanie worked their magic. Larry and
Joyce provide place, plates and more (and so many other generous
volunteers)... some of my load was instantly lifted! Doug
has carried many people's load home many times, via the limo, which
is only one of many jobs/services he has provided around the Island.
It is time to help him carry his. Valentines Weekend is a perfect time to give from your
heart. See you at Breakfast Feb 13th!!!
