Jana Jae, known as the First Lady of Country Fiddle founded Grand Lake Festivals, Inc.  In addition to the afternoon of “Music in the Park”, Jana Jae and Grand Lake Festival’s staff and volunteers announce the dates for upcoming festivals.

The American Heritage Music Festival, June 5, 6, & 7 is a nationally sanctioned fiddle and clogging competition held in the Grove Civic Center and Snider’s Camp.  Contestants come from all across the US to vie for the top prize of $1000 in both events.

The Arts, Crafts, Music and Cajun Festival will be held on July 4 at the Grove Civic Center.  Chris Miller and the Bayou Roots, along with Jana Jae and her band Hotwire, will entertain the spectators with the beat of Cajun Music while our Cajun cooks satisfy our appetites with the best Cajun food this side of the Mississippi.  Artists will have a wide variety of arts and crafts items available for sale.  This event is free to the public so mark your calendars and plan to enjoy a full day of entertainment, great food and shopping on July 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The next event Grand Lake Festivals brings to the Grand Lake area is the Jana Jae Fiddle Camp held over Labor Day weekend, August 29, 30 & 31.  Students, musicians and instructors fill the Grove Civic Center with a unique opportunity for fiddlers to learn more about their musical talents as they learn to play in groups, conquer stage fright, play contest tunes and to play different styles of music.  Evening entertainment at Snider’s Camp on August 29 and 30 is open to the public free of charge.  Food is available at $7 a plate.
